Once a year, just before Corpus Christi, ten thousands of faithful pilgrims, descendants of the Inca, make their way up the Peruvian Andes to heights of over 5000 meters. Their destination is the “Snow Star Festival”, 6 hours driving from Cusco, the ancient capital of the Inca.
The pilgrimage brings together very old Indian and modern Christian practices. We accompany the four protagonists Carlos, Checko, Richard and Fredy from Cusco on their journey to the “Quollyur Rit´y” festival. Each of the four has a very special connection to the most important celebration of the year. And also this year the friends carry their wishes and longings in the foreign heights of the Andes...
